Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Chairman/CEO, this is a corporate support function serving in a leading role in prospecting new clients for a security services provider seeking new business opportunities for company growth within the continental United States. The Client Relations Specialist will also be tasked with facilitating the various tasks required for capture management of government (Public Sector) opportunities. This position is required to function as an independent entity working remotely, with routine guidelines and ongoing supervision.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Establish relationships with Small Business Liaisons for public sector agencies utilizing available digital marketing resources for brand awareness and advertising of service offerings
  • Conduct cold calls for future service opportunities with prospective public sector clients based on the existing list while generating new prospects
  • Registration and maintenance of the company profile as a Small Business within the vendor database for prospective government-level agencies
  • Maintenance of all standard requirements to maintain compliance with the GSA Award Schedule
  • Perform continuous follow-ups with agency representatives in both Program Office and Procurement
  • Departments of public sector agencies via phone calls and/or emails to potential clients
  • Perform weekly and/or as-needed review and monitoring of the Federal Compass database for upcoming service opportunities
  • Conduct real-time monitoring of the release of new opportunities through SAM.GOV and BidPrime;
  • Identify government agencies procuring our services within 24-month procurement forecasts
  • Develop the Prospective Opportunity Summary Report for all major opportunities identified for formal bidding within the public sector
  • Conduct close monitoring of future re-solicitation of missed contract award opportunities through Federal Compass
  • Mandatory attendance in periodic webinars to gain proficiency on how to market our services to our target clients; Attend virtual vendor outreach events, trade shows, and conferences
  • Attend periodic webinars to remain proficient in marketing skills and the newest features of client relations/business development support solutions.
  • Perform key supporting roles during the proposal development process for new business opportunities
  • Performs all activities related to the initial application, renewal, and maintenance of small, minority, and disadvantaged business entity (MBE/DBE/SBE) certifications
  • Serves in a key or supporting role in developing pricing proposals for all potential opportunities through coordination with multiple departments
  • Generate comprehensive weekly reports of all ongoing and upcoming client relations and business development activities
  • Perform all other additional functions as necessary to achieve business development goals.


Requirements:

  • Candidate should possess a 4-year, business-related degree from an accredited university/college or equivalent experience, preferably in a Business Management / Marketing related field
  • Candidate should be proficient in using MS Office 365 including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Required experience at intermediate proficiency in commonly used Capture Management related software
  • Candidate must have 5+ years of experience working in Client Prospecting, Customer Service, Business Development, and/or Sales & Marketing related functions.
  • Strong consideration for candidates with experience supporting a U.S.-based corporation.
  • Candidate should possess soft skills including attention to detail, work-flow organization, ability to use initiative, and ability to follow instructions
  • Candidate should have demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks and projects, analyzing information, mass data entry, activity-based reporting, customer interactions, and maintaining the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Candidate must possess strong verbal & written communication skills in the English Language.


Work Schedule: 

  • Monday – Friday (Virtual / Remote Position)
  • 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (U.S. Based, Eastern Standard Time)
  • 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm (Nigerian Time Zone)
  • (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week minimum.


Remuneration:  NGN 200,000 (base) per month including all standard employee benefits
