Cleaner

• Clean and sanitize the café, kitchen, dining areas, restrooms, storage areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and wipe floors, walls, windows, tables, chairs, counters, and other surfaces.
• Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces such as door handles, switches, counters, and equipment.
• Maintain proper cleanliness of kitchen floors, sinks, work surfaces, and surrounding areas.
• Wash and sanitize cleaning tools and equipment after use and store them properly.
• Empty and dispose of waste in designated bins and ensure waste areas remain clean and hygienic.
• Monitor washrooms and replenish soap, tissue, paper towels, and other hygiene supplies when required.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness around food preparation and service areas without interfering with food production.
• Report spills, damaged equipment, pest activity, leaks, blocked drains, or other hygiene and safety concerns immediately.
• Follow proper procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are properly labelled, stored, and used according to instructions.
• Maintain personal hygiene and wear the required uniform/PPE while on duty.
• Support periodic deep-cleaning activities as scheduled.
• Assist with cleaning before opening, during operations, and after closing.
• Follow Mamatcha's food safety, hygiene, health and safety policies at all times.
• Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requirements, including spills and accidents.
• Perform any other cleaning and hygiene-related duties assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year of cleaning, housekeeping, hygiene, or similar experience is preferred.
• Good understanding of basic cleaning and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail.
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and perform physical cleaning duties for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift and move cleaning materials and equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when scheduled.
