Responsibilities:
- Sweep, mop, dust, and polish floors, furniture, and fixtures
- Clean and sanitise restrooms, kitchens, and other shared spaces
- Dispose of waste and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed
- Maintain cleaning equipment and notify management of any repairs needed
- Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and trash bags
- Ensure all areas are tidy, organised, and safe for staff and visitors
- Follow safety and hygiene protocols at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
Requirements:
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (reading instructions and labelling)
- Previous cleaning or janitorial experience is an advantage, but not mandatory
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks regularly
- Reliability, punctuality, and trustworthiness
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is an advantage
- Good interpersonal skills for interacting politely with staff and visitors
