The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction and maintenance of building structures, infrastructure, and related projects. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and supervise civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, drainage systems, buildings, and other infrastructures.
- Prepare and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure that projects are executed in line with approved drawings, quality, and safety standards.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery.
- Liaise with architects, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Evaluate construction materials and supervise testing procedures to ensure durability and compliance.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and site supervisors.
- Conduct feasibility studies, site investigations, and prepare technical reports and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) standards on all project sites.
- Coordinate procurement of materials and verify contractor performance against agreed terms.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Experience in Telecom site build is an added advantage
- Certification: COREN registration or eligibility is mandatory.
- Having a PMP Certification or PRINCE2 is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of proven experience in civil engineering design, supervision, or project management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and other engineering design software.
- Strong knowledge of structural analysis and design principles.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and construction regulations.
