Position Summary

The Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) at TEDxMaitama will lead and execute the organization's marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with TEDxMaitama’s mission and long-term goals. The CMO will oversee brand development, digital marketing, media relations, public relations, sponsorship, and audience engagement to drive awareness, attendance, and partnerships for TEDxMaitama’s events and initiatives. The role requires a creative, strategic thinker with exceptional leadership and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy to enhance TEDxMaitama’s visibility and reputation across diverse platforms.
  • Marketing Leadership: Lead a dynamic marketing team and collaborate with key stakeholders, including the leadership team, event coordinators, and external partners.
  • Campaign Development & Execution: Design and implement marketing campaigns to promote TEDxMaitama’s events, speakers, and initiatives. Measure the effectiveness of campaigns and adjust as needed for maximum impact.
  • Digital Marketing: Oversee the development and execution of digital marketing strategies across social media, email, SEO, content marketing, and digital ads to engage with a global audience.
  • Audience Growth & Engagement: Create strategies to grow TEDxMaitama’s audience, focusing on new ways to engage diverse communities, including young professionals, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders.
  • Public Relations & Media: Build and maintain relationships with media outlets and journalists to ensure TEDxMaitama’s message reaches a wide audience. Manage press releases, media appearances, and crisis communications.
  • Sponsorship & Partnerships: Develop and nurture relationships with potential sponsors, partners, and stakeholders to secure funding, resources, and collaborations that enhance TEDxMaitama’s events.
  • Content Strategy: Oversee content creation for TEDxMaitama’s digital platforms, ensuring that all content aligns with the brand and supports the event’s themes and messages.
  • Market Research & Insights: Conduct research on trends, competitor activity, and audience preferences to inform marketing decisions.
  • Team Development: Mentor and develop the marketing team, ensuring continuous growth and alignment with organizational goals.


Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 7 years of experience in marketing, with a proven track record of successful leadership in a senior marketing role (preferably in the non-profit, events, or media industries).


Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in digital marketing strategies, content creation, and social media platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to implement creative and results-driven marketing initiatives.
  • Experience with sponsorship acquisition and partner relations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
