Pastry Chef

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a wide range of meals, pastries, desserts, and baked products.
• Produce high-quality croissants, cakes, breads, and other pastry items.
• Ensure consistency in food taste, quality, and presentation.
• Develop and follow standardized recipes and portion controls.
• Monitor food stock levels and communicate replenishment needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper hygiene standards in the kitchen.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products.
• Minimize food waste and support cost-control initiatives.
• Collaborate with management on menu improvements and new product ideas.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef, Pastry Chef, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of pastry production, including croissants, cakes, breads, and desserts.
• Ability to prepare both local and continental dishes.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations.
• Excellent attention to detail and creativity in food presentation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
