Chartered Accountant
Job summary
We are seeking a highly competent and results-driven Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical accounting knowledge, extensive experience in Nigerian taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring EFFICIENCY.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Ensure full compliance with Nigerian tax laws, including the preparation, filing, and remittance of all statutory taxes (Companies Income Tax, Value Added Tax, Withholding Tax, PAYE, Pension, NSITF, ITF, NHF, and other applicable statutory obligations).

Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities, including the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), State Internal Revenue Services, and other government agencies.

Lead tax planning initiatives and advise management on tax-efficient strategies while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Prepare and review tax computations, schedules, and statutory returns.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.

Oversee general ledger activities, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Develop, implement, and monitor effective internal controls and financial policies.

Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and financial analyses to support business decisions.
- Supervise finance team members and ensure adherence to accounting best practices.
- Perform any other finance-related duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Must be a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAN or ACCA).
- Minimum of 4 years' post-qualification accounting experience, preferably within a structured corporate environment.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical, FMCG, manufacturing, or healthcare sector will be an added advantage.
- Demonstrable expertise in Nigerian tax laws, tax administration, and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, treasury management, and internal controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
