Our client, a manufacturing company based in Ikorodu requires the services of a CCTV Operator
Job Title: CCTV Operator
Department: Security / Administration
Location: Ikorodu, Lagos
Salary Range: ₦250,000 – ₦300,000 per month
Employment Type: Full-Time (Shift-Based)
Job Purpose
To monitor, operate, and maintain CCTV surveillance systems within the PET recycling plant, ensuring safety, security of assets, personnel, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
o Monitor live CCTV footage across production, warehouse, yard, and administrative areas.
o Identify and report suspicious activities, safety breaches, theft, or unauthorized access.
o Maintain accurate logs of daily surveillance activities and incident reports.
o Support investigations by retrieving and preserving CCTV footage when required.
o Ensure CCTV equipment is functional and report faults promptly.
o Enforce compliance with security, HSE, and plant access control procedures.
o Coordinate with Security Supervisors, HR, and Management on incidents.
o Maintain confidentiality and integrity of surveillance data.
Required Competencies
o Strong observation and attention to detail
o High level of integrity and confidentiality
o Situational awareness and sound judgment
o Ability to work under pressure and in shifts
o Good reporting and documentation skills
Qualifications & Experience
o Minimum of OND / HND / SSCE with relevant experience
o 2–4 years experience as a CCTV Operator or in industrial security (manufacturing environment preferred)
o Prior experience in factory or plant surveillance is an advantage
Skills & Technical Requirements
o Proficiency in operating CCTV systems, DVR/NVR, and monitoring software
o Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Word, incident logging)
o Understanding of HSE and access control procedures
o Ability to identify unsafe acts and conditions within a plant environment
