Cashiers

Responsibilities:

• Receive payments from customers for food, drinks, and other services rendered.
• Process cash, POS, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods.
• Issue receipts and ensure every transaction is properly recorded.
• Operate the restaurant's Point of Sale (POS) system accurately.
• Verify customer bills and ensure correct pricing before processing payments.
• Maintain proper records of all daily sales and financial transactions.
• Reconcile cash received against POS sales and system-generated reports at the end of each shift.
• Report shortages, excess cash, failed transactions, and payment discrepancies immediately to management.
• Ensure that all sales are properly captured in the restaurant's accounting or sales system.
• Handle customer billing enquiries and resolve minor payment-related complaints professionally.
• Ensure that discounts, refunds, complimentary meals, and cancelled transactions are properly authorised by management.
• Prepare daily cash reports and submit sales proceeds to the designated supervisor or accountant.
• Maintain the security of cash, receipts, POS terminals, and other financial documents.
• Avoid unauthorised cash withdrawals, credit sales, or personal use of company funds.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and professional cashier station.
• Work closely with the accountant, counter sales attendants, waiters, and floor supervisor to ensure smooth financial operations.
• Comply with company policies, financial procedures, and internal control regulations

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years of experience
• A minimum of an OND in a related field
