Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Payment Collection: Process cash, credit card, and mobile transactions for consultations, prescriptions, and lab tests.
- Billing & Insurance: Prepare itemized patient bills, coordinate with the HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) desk, and verify insurance coverage and copayments
- Daily Reconciliation: Count cash drawers at the beginning and end of shifts, balance receipts, and compile daily financial reports for the finance department.
- Patient Support: Address billing questions, resolve discrepancies, and provide exceptional, compassionate customer service to patients and visitors.
- Record Keeping: Update hospital information systems (HMS) with payment details and secure sensitive financial and medical data.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of OND.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
