Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Receive payments (cash, card, transfers) from patients and their families for medical services.
- Issue receipts and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Balance daily cash collections with system records and prepare end-of-day reports.
- Assist patients in understanding their bills and hospital charges.
- Ensure accuracy in billing and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Work closely with the accounts department to reconcile accounts.
- Handle confidential patient and financial information with utmost integrity.
- Provide courteous and professional customer service at all times.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience as a cashier, teller, or in a customer service role (preferably in healthcare).
- Strong numerical and data entry skills with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Office, POS systems).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
Working Conditions
