Care giver/Health worker

Responsibilities:

• Provide compassionate and professional care to the client.
• Assist with daily personal care and activities where required.
• Monitor the client’s general wellbeing and report any unusual changes or concerns.
• Assist with medication reminders and ensure medications are taken as prescribed.
• Support mobility, feeding, bathing, dressing, and other daily routines as required.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for the client.
• Accompany the client to medical appointments when necessary.
• Keep accurate records of relevant observations, medications, and care activities.
• Communicate appropriately with family members regarding the client’s wellbeing.
• Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies and unexpected situations.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect the client’s privacy and dignity at all times.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a caregiver, health worker, nursing assistant, or similar role.
• Relevant healthcare or caregiving qualification is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of first aid and health and safety procedures.
• Good understanding of personal hygiene and elderly/patient care.
• Ability to recognise and report changes in a client’s condition.
• Must be patient, trustworthy, compassionate, and responsible.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Must be physically capable of assisting with daily care activities.
• References from previous employers are an advantage.
