Cardiologist

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases and related conditions.
• Perform and/or interpret advanced cardiac diagnostic procedures such as ECG, echocardiography, stress testing, CT angiography, and cardiac MRI.
• Conduct interventional procedures (if an interventional cardiologist), including angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement.
• Manage acute cardiac emergencies such as heart attacks, heart failure, and arrhythmias.
• Develop individualized treatment and long-term management plans for cardiac patients.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure care and patient follow-up.
• Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons, radiologists, intensivists, and other specialists.
• Participate in on-call cardiac emergency coverage.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and patient safety standards.
• Mentor junior doctors and contribute to clinical training and continuous medical education.

Requirements:

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree.
• Fellowship qualification in Cardiology (FWACP, FMCP, MRCP, or equivalent).
• Subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology or Cardiac Imaging.
• Valid practicing license with MDCN.
• Minimum of 5–10 years post-specialist experience.
• Strong expertise in cardiovascular diagnostics and/or interventional procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills.
