Job summary
Our client, a leading agro-business specializing in grains, premium bagged rice, and other agro-based products, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Business Operations Manager to oversee business operations, drive operational excellence, and support sustainable business growth.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business operations strategies that support organizational growth and profitability.
- Establish and manage business performance dashboards, operational metrics, and KPI tracking systems.
- Translate strategic business objectives into actionable plans for operations, field, and business teams.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of all business units, field operations, factory operations, and farm production activities.
- Develop and monitor operational trackers and performance measurement frameworks across all functions.
- Ensure strict adherence to operational procedures, quality standards, and company policies.
- Conduct periodic field audits and spot checks to ensure compliance with operational standards and business objectives.
- Supervise end-to-end rice production processes, ensuring product quality and operational efficiency throughout the production cycle.
- Maintain strong relationships with farmers and key stakeholders to support sustainable sourcing and operational effectiveness.
- Oversee inventory movement, distribution processes, Goods-in-Transit (GIT) records, and other critical operational documentation.
- Collaborate with logistics partners to ensure timely and efficient movement of goods across the value chain.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, cost efficiency, and operational performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Agriculture, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in Business Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Operations, Factory Operations, or a similar leadership role within FMCG, agro-processing, food production, beverage, or related industries.
- Demonstrated experience in strategy execution and operational performance management.
- Strong understanding of supply chain, production, inventory management, logistics, and field operations.
- Proven ability to establish KPIs, dashboards, and performance management systems.
- Strong leadership, supervision, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in operational reporting and business performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of Abuja's food distribution ecosystem, B2B and B2C markets, and relationships with logistics providers will be an added advantage.
