Location: Remote, Nigeria preferred (Abuja or Lagos strongly preferred)

Type: Full-time

Reports to: Founder


About the role


We are hiring a Business Operations Associate to work directly with the founder across multiple startups and internal projects.


This is not a basic admin role.


You will help turn ideas into execution. That means organizing operations, tracking priorities, supporting hiring, preparing reports, cleaning up messy information, coordinating people, building simple systems, and using AI tools to help the business move faster.


You will work across startup operations, research, documentation, hiring, reporting, AI workflows, and special projects. Some days you may be organizing a founder’s ideas into a clear execution plan. Other days you may be helping prepare investor materials, cleaning up dashboards, coordinating interviews, following up with team members, or building better internal systems.


This role is for someone highly organized, sharp, proactive, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with multiple priorities.


What you will do

You will help the founder with things like:

 • Turning messy voice notes, chats, and ideas into structured plans, documents, and action items

 • Organizing and maintaining dashboards, trackers, reports, and internal documentation

 • Managing follow-ups so tasks do not get lost

 • Supporting hiring by coordinating applicants, interviews, evaluations, and candidate tracking

 • Conducting research for operations, hiring, markets, tools, and special projects

 • Helping prepare internal and external materials such as summaries, reports, meeting notes, and business documents

 • Using AI tools to improve speed, quality, and efficiency across different workflows

 • Supporting project coordination across multiple startups and internal initiatives

 • Identifying gaps, confusion, and bottlenecks before they become problems

 • Helping create structure, accountability, and order across the business

 • Can work directly with a founder without getting overwhelmed

 • Is comfortable with speed, ambiguity, and changing priorities

 • Uses AI tools in real work, not just for fun

 • Has strong judgment and can tell what matters and what does not

 • Can follow through relentlessly


Requirements

You should have most of the following:

 • 2+ years of experience in operations, business support, project coordination, founder support, strategy, consulting, startup operations, or similar roles

 • Strong writing and communication skills

 • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail

 • Experience using tools like Google Sheets, Google Docs, Notion, Airtable, ClickUp, Trello, Slack, or similar

 • Real experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or similar to improve your work

 • Ability to summarize information clearly and create structure from chaos

 • Strong internet connection and a reliable laptop

 • Ability to work full-time and overlap with Dubai working hours when needed


Strong bonus points

You do not need all of these, but they help:

 • Experience working directly with a founder, executive, startup, or small fast-moving team

 • Experience with hiring coordination or recruiting support

 • Experience building simple automations with Zapier, Make, Notion, Airtable, or similar tools

 • Experience preparing reports, dashboards, or investor/business materials

 • Comfort with startup environments and cross-functional work


What success looks like in this role

In the first 30 to 90 days, success looks like this:

 • The founder has more clarity and less mental clutter

 • Follow-ups are tighter and fewer things slip through the cracks

 • Meetings, action items, and priorities are documented properly

 • Internal trackers and dashboards are cleaner and more useful

 • Hiring and coordination become more organized

 • AI tools are being used in practical ways to improve speed and output

 • Information is easier to find, decisions are easier to make, and execution becomes more consistent


Compensation

Compensation is competitive and depends on experience, quality, and fit.
