Job summary

As a Business Development Officer, you’ll be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue-generating activities for The Readerz Corner. You’ll play a key role in shaping how we grow our audience, partnerships, and programs.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Market Research & Strategy: Conduct research to identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion. Analyse industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions.
  • Partnerships & Outreach: Build and nurture relationships with potential partners, sponsors, and collaborators. Pitch The Readerz Corner’s offerings to brands, authors, and community stakeholders.
  • Lead Generation: Develop strategies to generate leads and grow sales pipelines. Utilize digital platforms to reach and engage prospective partners.
  • Sales & Negotiation: Drive sales conversations from initial contact to closing. Negotiate deals and agreements that align with company goals.
  • Reporting & Goals: Track and report performance metrics, insights, and progress. Collaborate with the team to set targets and achieve growth objectives.


Requirements:

  • Proven interest or experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or growth roles
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to identify, pitch, and close partnership or sales opportunities
  • Experience with lead generation, outreach, or client acquisition
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (especially Instagram) for business outreach
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to meet growth targets
  • Basic knowledge of CRM tools, Google Workspace, or reporting tools (an advantage)
  • Previous experience in the media, education, community, or content space is a plus
