Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement business development strategies that drive sustainable revenue growth and market expansion.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities across consulting, learning and development, corporate training, conferences, and events.
- Source, negotiate, and secure sponsorships for corporate events, conferences, executive summits, and learning programmes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate organisations, government agencies, development partners, sponsors, and key stakeholders.
- Prepare compelling business proposals, sponsorship decks, presentations, and tender responses that align with client requirements.
- Lead contract negotiations and manage the end-to-end sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activities, and potential growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored consulting, training, and event solutions that meet client needs.
- Develop strategic partnerships that enhance the company’s visibility, credibility, and commercial success.
- Represent the company at networking events, industry conferences, exhibitions, and business forums to generate new business opportunities.
- Work closely with project management, learning and development, research, and operations teams to ensure successful project execution and client satisfaction.
- Monitor business development performance against agreed revenue targets and prepare regular pipeline and performance reports.
- Drive brand awareness by identifying speaking engagements, partnership opportunities, and industry collaborations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, Partnerships, or Client Relationship Management.
- Proven experience within the consulting industry is essential.
- Demonstrable experience securing sponsorships and managing corporate partnerships.
- Strong experience working within events, conferences, executive programmes, or learning and development organisations.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue and business growth targets.
- Excellent proposal writing, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify and convert opportunities into long-term business relationships.
- Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines is an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
