Job summary

The Business Development Manager/National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, strengthening distribution networks, and executing nationwide commercial strategies. This role is suited for highly independent, commercially driven professionals comfortable operating with minimal supervision. Candidates must demonstrate strong self-management, leadership presence, resilience, accountability, and a results-oriented approach.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute national business development and sales strategies aligned with growth objectives.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities and distribution partnerships.
  • Drive nationwide sales performance across assigned portfolios and territories.
  • Design and implement national sales programs and market penetration initiatives.
  • Build, lead, and manage regional sales teams and channel partners.
  • Conduct market intelligence and competitive analysis.
  • Lead pricing discussions, negotiations, and contract development.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, performance reports, and strategic recommendations.
  • Ensure regulatory, ethical, and policy compliance.
  • Represent the organisation at relevant industry engagements.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical sales, healthcare business development, or medical product commercialisation.
  • Acceptable academic backgrounds include PharmD / BPharm / Pharmacy Degree, Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical Science and Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related Life Sciences
  • Possession of a Master’s degree for Bachelor 's-prepared applicants will be an added advantage.
