Job summary

The Business Development Manager leads the strategic growth agenda of the organization and its training partner. The role holder is responsible for driving revenue generation, managing a high-performing business development team, forging strategic partnerships, and positioning the organization for sustainable expansion across key sectors.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Business Development & Revenue Growth:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives.
  • Lead the identification, pursuit, and conversion of high-value business opportunities across Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, and Corporate sectors.
  • Set, monitor, and drive revenue targets.
  • Build and manage a structured pipeline of prospects, partnerships, and retainer opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to inform strategic positioning and pricing.


Team Leadership & Performance Management:

  • Recruit, mentor, and manage the business development team, including Business Development Officers.
  • Set individual and team KPIs, conduct regular performance reviews, and provide structured coaching.
  • Foster a high-performance sales culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and results.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between the BD team, finance, and delivery units.


Partnerships, Proposals & Strategic Advisory:

  • Lead the development of proposals, pitch documents, retainer contracts, and partnership agreements.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, networking forums, and business meetings.
  • Advise the MD/CEO on commercial strategy, market entry opportunities, and business risks.
  • Support grant applications, investor documentation, and funding proposals as required.
  • Participate in executive planning sessions and contribute to annual strategy development

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience
  • Minimum of a BSc.
