Role Description The Business Development Manager (Ikorodu, Lagos) is a full-time, on-site role responsible for driving enrollment growth and strategic partnerships for Digital Skills Centre. This position involves identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building relationships with corporate clients, schools, and community organizations, and promoting the centre’s training programs across Lagos. The manager will develop and execute sales and marketing plans, conduct presentations and pitches, manage the sales pipeline, and track performance metrics. Day-to-day tasks include prospecting, client meetings, contract negotiation, collaboration with the training and marketing teams, and regular reporting on business development activities. The role also requires staying informed about industry trends and local market needs to refine offerings and strengthen the centre’s position as a leading digital skills provider.
Qualifications
- Strong business development, sales, and account management skills, with a track record of meeting or exceeding growth targets.
- Experience in partnership building, stakeholder management, and client relationship development, ideally within education, training, or technology sectors.
- Marketing and communication skills, including ability to create compelling proposals, deliver presentations, and support promotional campaigns.
- Analytical and strategic planning skills for market research, opportunity assessment, forecasting, and performance reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and networking skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences in Ikorodu and broader Lagos.
- Comfort using digital tools and platforms for CRM, outreach, and collaboration; familiarity with tech or digital skills training is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Ikorodu, Lagos, manage multiple priorities, and operate with integrity in a fast-paced environment.
