Business Development Manager
Job summary
We are seeking a commercially driven and field-oriented Business Development Manager to lead the market expansion of our baby hygiene product portfolio. The role combines retail and wholesale channel development with institutional engagement and digital sales support.

Responsibilities:
Market Expansion & Sales Growth:
- Introduce and activate products across retail and wholesale markets within Lagos State
- Identify and secure new business opportunities and distribution channels
- Drive product availability and penetration across key markets
Channel Development & Trade Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmacies, distributors, supermarkets, and baby product stores
- Develop product visibility strategies to enhance in-store presence and brand awareness
- Design and implement incentive programs for trade partners based on performance targets
Healthcare & Institutional Engagement:
- Conduct product presentations at antenatal clinics, maternity centres, pediatric clinics, and other healthcare institutions
- Engage healthcare professionals and caregivers to drive product awareness and adoption
- Build partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem
Marketing Activation & Consumer Engagement:
- Organize product demonstrations, awareness campaigns, and promotional activities
- Drive product trial and customer conversion through both physical and digital channels
- Support e-commerce initiatives and digital customer acquisition strategies
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on partner performance and sales activities
- Track pipeline, field insights, and engagement outcomes
- Provide actionable feedback to improve go-to-market strategies
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and digital teams to align field activities with business goals
- Ensure consistency between offline engagement and online sales initiatives
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
- 4–7 years of experience in business development, trade marketing, or retail sales within baby care, hygiene, healthcare, or FMCG sectors
- Proven track record of working with retail partners, wholesalers, pharmacies, and healthcare institutions
- Strong knowledge of the Lagos retail and healthcare landscape
- Experience delivering product presentations in healthcare or trade environments
- Proficiency in digital tools and e-commerce support strategies
- Willingness to travel nationwide when required
