Business Development Manager
Job summary
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for expanding our customer base, developing new markets, generating business opportunities and converting relationships into measurable revenue.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute business development strategies aligned with company revenue objectives.
- Identify new markets, customer segments and revenue opportunities.
- Prospect and acquire new corporate and social clients.
- Develop relationships with corporate organizations, event planners, agencies, institutions and key decision-makers.
- Generate and manage a healthy business development pipeline.
- Conduct client presentations and business meetings.
- Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial presentations.
- Negotiate and close business opportunities.
- Develop strategic partnerships that generate business for the company.
- Follow up on prospects and maintain consistent engagement.
- Reactivate dormant and inactive accounts.
- Track leads, opportunities and conversion performance.
- Maintain accurate CRM/business development records.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
- Work closely with Sales, Telesales, Marketing, Venue Experience and Operations teams.
- Participate in networking events, exhibitions and industry activities.
- Prepare regular business development reports and forecasts.
- Consistently work toward and exceed assigned revenue targets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Hospitality or a related field.
- 4–6 years of relevant experience in Business Development, B2B Sales, Corporate Sales or related commercial roles.
- Proven record of generating and closing business.
- Strong corporate relationship management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Strong prospecting and lead-generation skills.
- Commercially minded and target-driven.
- Strong understanding of sales funnels and pipeline management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in events, hospitality, real estate, media, travel or other service industries is an advantage.
- Proficiency with CRM and Microsoft Office tools.
- Must be based in Lagos Mainland (preferably Ikeja or nearby areas)
