Business Development Analyst
Job summary
This role is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, analysing market trends & supporting strategic initiatives that drive revenue and business expansion for the company. It combines data analysis, market research, business proposal development & cross-functional collaboration to help the organization make informed business decisions.

Responsibilities:
- Analyze internal and external data to support business strategic planning and decision-making, including staying abreast of market intelligence on the hospitality industry locally and internationally.
- Develop financial models and forecasts to evaluate potential management opportunities, investments, and partnerships.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards for senior management.
- Travel within and outside of Lagos to screen new opportunities for hotel development and management of hotels and other hospitality assets.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to align growth strategies.
- Travel to operating units to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) of our portfolio of businesses and provide actionable insights for investors.
- Support the development of business cases, proposals, and go-to-market strategies.
- Track and evaluate the performance of business development initiatives.
- Attend and participate in trade shows, forums, conferences, and events to represent the brand's thought leadership and initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in business analytics, strategy, financial analysis, or a related role.
- Strong in Financial modelling and forecasting.
- Proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Power BI, or similar).
- Strong observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent spoken and written communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Attributes:
- Willingness and ability to travel outside of Lagos about once a month for site inspections. Travel is a very significant part of the job.
- Early technology adopter with a can-do attitude.
- Familiarity with hospitality technology and market intelligence platforms is not strictly required but is a plus.
- Adaptability to a new industry and willingness to learn about the hospitality business.
- Self-Starter and motivated.
- Strong team spirit and integrity.
