Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Measure, mix, knead, and shape doughs according to specific recipes and production schedules.
- Bake a variety of bread such as whole wheat, sourdough, multigrain, and specialty loaves.
- Monitor baking processes to ensure proper texture, crust, and flavor.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, tools, and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP compliance).
- Manage baking schedules to meet production demands and minimize waste.
- Experiment with new bread recipes and improve existing ones.
- Check the quality of ingredients and report shortages or damages to management.
- Package and label finished products for sale or distribution.
- Collaborate with pastry chefs or kitchen staff for special orders and menu planning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a baker, preferably specializing in bread production.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, dough fermentation, and proofing.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene.
- Attention to detail, consistency, and creativity.
- Physical stamina and ability to work early mornings or long hours.
- Good time-management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
