Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, beers, wines, spirits, and soft drinks.
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking and fulfilling drink orders promptly.
- Recommend beverages based on customer preferences and promote special drinks or promotions.
- Ensure the bar is fully stocked with beverages, garnishes, ice, and supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the bar area, glassware, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages to management.
- Process payments accurately using cash registers or POS systems.
- Verify the legal drinking age of customers where applicable and refuse service to intoxicated individuals when necessary.
- Follow all health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations.
- Assist with opening and closing bar procedures, including cleaning and stock reconciliation.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
- Previous bartending experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in bartending or responsible alcohol service is an added advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
