Barista

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve coffee, matcha, teas, smoothies and other drinks according to approved recipes.
  
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, blenders and other café equipment correctly.
  
• Maintain consistent drink quality, measurements, temperature and presentation.
  
• Welcome customers, explain menu items and make suitable recommendations.
  
• Take orders accurately, record every sale on the POS system and follow company payment procedures.
  
• Direct all customer payments to approved company accounts or payment terminals.
  
• Confirm payments through the approved verification process before completing orders.
  
• Keep the counter, preparation areas, equipment and utensils clean and organised
  
• Monitor stock levels, label ingredients and follow storage and stock rotation procedures.
  
• Record wastage, remakes and complimentary drinks according to company policy.
  
• Follow food safety procedures and handle dietary requests and allergens carefully.
  
• Complete opening, closing and cleaning duties.
  
•  Work with colleagues to serve orders promptly and resolve customer concerns professionally.
  

Requirements:

• Previous barista or café experience is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming and drink preparation.
  
• Willingness to learn Café Verde’s coffee, matcha and speciality drink recipes.
  
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
  
• Basic numeracy and familiarity with POS systems.
  
• Honesty, punctuality and attention to detail.
  
• Ability to work efficiently during busy periods.
  
• Availability for early mornings, weekends and public holidays as scheduled.

Remuneration: NGN 200,000 Monthly
