Job summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Baker to prepare fresh, high-quality breads and other baked products in line with the company's standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in dough preparation, fermentation, proofing, baking techniques, and maintaining consistency in a fast-paced production environment.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake bread products according to standardized recipes and production schedules.
  • Mix, knead, ferment, proof, and bake dough to achieve consistent quality.
  • Monitor baking temperatures, timing, and product appearance.
  • Ensure freshness, taste, and presentation meet company standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking station.
  • Measure ingredients accurately and follow portion control guidelines.
  • Work closely with kitchen teams to meet daily demand.
  • Assist in developing new bread varieties when required.

Production & Operational Duties:

  • Plan daily bread production based on restaurant needs.
  • Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages.
  • Ensure proper storage and rotation of ingredients (FIFO method).
  • Minimize waste through efficient preparation and handling.
  • Maintain baking equipment and report faults or maintenance needs.
  • Requirements
  • Minimum 1–2 years experience as a baker, preferably bread-focused.
  • Strong knowledge of bread-making techniques and fermentation processes.
  • Ability to work early shifts, weekends, and busy production periods.
  • Attention to detail and consistency in product quality.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment.
  • Good hygiene and food safety practices.

Requirements:

  • Culinary or baking certification is an added advantage.
  • Experience in restaurant or commercial bakery production.
  • Knowledge of different bread styles and dough handling technique

Operating hours:

  • Monday to Friday - 5:30 AM to 10:00 AM
  • Saturday - 5:30 AM to 10 :00 AM
  • Sunday - 7:00 AM - 1:00 pm
  • You get TWO  days off in a week from Monday to Friday

 Location Preference:

  • Applicants residing within or around Ikeja GRA will have an added advantage due to the early start time. However, candidates from other locations are welcome to apply provided they can consistently arrive at work by 5:30 AM.

Remuneration: NGN 80,000
