Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and other baked products.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients according to established recipes.
- Monitor baking times and oven temperatures to ensure product quality.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and hygienic work environment in compliance with food safety standards.
- Inspect ingredients and finished products to ensure freshness and quality.
- Manage stock levels and report shortages of baking ingredients and supplies.
- Work efficiently to meet daily production targets and customer orders.
- Assist with the packaging and presentation of baked goods.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a baker or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
