Job Title: Backend Developer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job Summary

• We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer to join our team.
• The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to the development of high-performance applications across various sectors.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the full application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging
• Develop clean, efficient, and reusable code for web applications
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications
• Perform testing to optimize application performance
• Collaborate with Frontend Developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic
• Gather and address technical and design requirements
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use
• Liaise with developers, designers, and system administrators to identify new features
• Provide technical support and training to internal teams
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.
  

Requirements

• B.Sc./HND in Computer Science or related field
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Backend Developer
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Java (Spring Boot)
• Experience with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Git and version control.
  

Other Requirements

• Experience with GraphQL
• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Understanding of secure coding practices.
