Glitec Auto Care, the official service center of Glitec Advanced School of Technology, is expanding its team and currently seeking a highly skilled Auto Repair Technician / Workshop Manager in Rivers State, Nigeria.
Built to international standards, Glitec Auto Care provides advanced diagnostics and repair services for mechanical, electrical/electronic, and electric (EV) vehicles. This is a full-time, Monday–Saturday role for a passionate professional ready to lead a modern automotive workshop.
The ideal candidate will oversee workshop operations, technical excellence, staff coordination, and customer satisfaction, ensuring seamless efficiency and top-tier service delivery. This position calls for strong mechanical proficiency, hands-on leadership, and the ability to manage a fast-paced, high-quality auto service environment.

Job Summary
- Oversee the day-to-day running of the Glitec Auto Care workshop to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Assign repair tasks to technicians and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in line with industry standards.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workshop activities.
- Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts; ensure timely procurement.
- Perform accurate diagnosis of vehicle mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults.
- Repair and service vehicles, including engines, brakes, suspension, transmission, air-conditioning, and electrical systems.
- Conduct routine maintenance, oil changes, tire services, and general inspections.
- Ensure all repairs meet quality standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Interact with customers to understand vehicle issues and explain repair solutions clearly.
- Provide accurate cost estimates, repair timelines, and service recommendations.
- Maintain high levels of professionalism and ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Supervise junior technicians and apprentices; provide technical guidance to the student trainees.
- Evaluate staff performance and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Support recruitment of technicians as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs, service reports, and job cards.
- Track daily workflow, labor hours, spare-parts usage, and workshop performance metrics.
- Ensure proper documentation for all completed jobs.
- Prepare periodic reports for management.
- Enforce compliance with safety procedures, PPE use, and hazard-free operations.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and calibration of workshop tools and machines.
- Identify equipment needs and recommend upgrades or replacements.
- Monitor workshop expenses and contribution to revenue.
- Reduce waste through proper diagnosis, parts management, and efficient repair processes.
- Support management in pricing, quotations, and cost-saving initiatives.
Minimum Qualification:
o OND/HND/B.Tech/BSc in Mechanical/Automobile Engineering.
o Minimum of 2–3 years hands-on experience in vehicle repair and maintenance.
o Ability to diagnose and repair modern vehicles (manual and automatic).
o Strong understanding of workshop tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
o Good communication and customer service skills.
o Ability to supervise, train junior technicians and manage workflow.
o Integrity, reliability, and strong problem‑solving ability.
