We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Assistant Video Editor to support our growing media team in producing world-class video content across multiple platforms.

Role Overview

The Assistant Video Editor will support the editing, production, organization, and delivery of video content for TEDxMaitama events, speaker interviews, promotional campaigns, social media channels, podcasts, and partner engagements.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about storytelling, digital media, content creation, and creating compelling visual experiences that inspire audiences.

Key Responsibilities

Video Editing & Production

• Assist in editing TEDx talks, interviews, webinars, podcasts, and promotional videos.
• Cut and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging content.
• Add graphics, captions, lower thirds, transitions, and motion elements where required.
• Synchronize audio, video, and visual assets for optimal viewing experience.
• Create short-form content for social media platforms including Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, X, and YouTube Shorts.
• Export and deliver videos in platform-specific formats and resolutions.

Content Management

• Organize and maintain video assets, project files, footage, and archives.
• Ensure proper naming conventions and storage systems are followed.
• Assist in managing content calendars and production timelines.
• Support the preparation of speaker and event highlight reels.

Creative Support

• Collaborate with graphic designers, content writers, photographers, and marketing team members.
• Contribute creative ideas for storytelling, visual effects, thumbnails, and audience engagement.
• Assist in creating teaser videos, event trailers, and sponsorship content.
• Ensure brand consistency across all visual content.

Event Coverage Support

• Support post-production activities for TEDxMaitama conferences, salons, and special events.
• Help process and edit event recordings within agreed timelines.
• Assist in creating recap videos and impact stories after events.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications

• Experience using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar tools.
• Basic understanding of video production workflows.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Passion for storytelling, innovation, entrepreneurship, and the TED mission.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience creating social media content and short-form videos.
• Basic motion graphics experience using Adobe After Effects or similar software.
• Knowledge of audio editing and color correction.
• Experience working with podcasts, webinars, or conference content.
• Familiarity with YouTube content optimization and video publishing.
