Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide first aid, basic nursing care, and initial assessment of sick or injured students.
- Assist the Senior Nurse and Physician in managing students requiring medical attention and appropriate referrals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and maintain accurate health records.
- Provide health education and health talks to students on relevant preventive health topics.
- Support health screenings, immunization programs, and other school and field-based health projects.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and support the overall health and safety of students.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid practicing license.
- Minimum of one year of post-qualification clinical experience.
- Previous experience as a school nurse is strongly preferred.
- Good clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with adolescents, school staff, parents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Willingness to participate in school and field-based health activities.
