Assistant General Manager, Mechanical - Coal Power Plant

Dangote Cement Plc, Gboko is currently seeking an Assistant General Manager of Mechanical for their Coal Power Plant. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the mechanical operations of the power plant to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities:

Manage and supervise the mechanical maintenance team Oversee the operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment, including turbines, boilers, pumps, and generators Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify and resolve issues Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations Manage the budget for mechanical maintenance activities Provide technical expertise and support to the team

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Minimum of 20 years of experience in mechanical maintenance of power plants Strong knowledge of coal power plant equipment and systems Experience in managing a team and budget Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software
