Assistant Garden Centre Manager

Responsibilities:

Garden Centre Management and Support Functions:

• Assist in the supervision and management of the garden centre.
• The garden centre layout must be well managed.
• Act as the first point of call when a customer visits the garden centre to make enquiries or purchases.
• Responsible for following up on customers’ requests for plants, tools or pots.
• Accountable for the plants, tools and accessories in the garden Centre.
• Assist in managing all Garden Fusion vendors, including during repairs or installations within the premises.
  
• Carry out other tasks and duties as assigned, e.g., Banking, purchasing, annual leave roster, and cleaning duties roster. site maintenance, roasters, and quarterly site visits.

Propagation area and pot production centre:

• Assist in overseeing propagation and pot production operations.
• Assist in the planning for production and costing.
• Assist the Accounts Department in maintaining the inventory sheet / ensure that it is up to date at all times.
• Assist the Accounts Department with regular stock taking.
• Support the oversight of propagation operations.
• Assist with the procurement of unfinished pots/buckets, production materials, soil, stone and manure.
• Assist in the management of relationships with suppliers and liaise with them until the procured items are delivered to Garden Fusion

Landscaping Projects and Maintenance Management:

• Assist with project execution
• Assist in ensuring that all issues are resolved promptly

Requirements:

• Minimum BSC.
• 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
