Job summary
The Assistant Teacher supports the Lead Teacher in delivering effective classroom instruction, supervising pupils, and maintaining a safe, engaging learning environment in each classroom assigned.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and delivering daily lessons and activities
- Provide individual and group support to students.
- Help maintain discipline and classroom order.
- Supervise pupils during break time, transitions, and extracurriculars.
- Help prepare teaching materials, resources, and learning aids.
- Assist with marking, recording pupils’ performance, and preparing reports.
- Support children with special needs or learning challenges.
- Maintain classroom hygiene, organization, and safety.
- Communicate respectfully with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Participate in training and staff meetings.
- Step in for Lead Teacher when required.
Requirements:
- NCE or Diploma in Education.
- 0-2 years of experience as an Assistant Teacher.
- Experience working with children is an advantage.
- Patience, gentleness, and attentiveness.
- Classroom support and basic teaching skills.
- Teamwork and communication skills.
- Good organizational habits and child supervision skills.
- High moral standards and positive attitude.
