Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries and financial statements.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and investors.
• Monitor cash flow, reconciliations, and financial forecasts.
• Support budgeting, variance analysis, and financial planning processes.
• Manage subscription billing cycles, deferred revenue, and recurring payments.
• Track customer payments, renewals, refunds, and chargebacks.
• Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to ensure accurate revenue reporting.
• Ensure adherence to tax regulations, statutory filings, and financial reporting standards.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare audit schedules.
• Maintain compliance with corporate and local tax obligations (e.g., VAT, PAYE, WHT)

Requirements:

• Minimum of a HND/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA) is an advantage.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a SaaS or tech-driven company.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite) and Excel.
• Familiarity with financial automation tools and SaaS billing systems (e.g., Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly).
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities.
• High integrity and commitment to compliance and ethical standards.
• Strong problem-solving and data interpretation skills.
• Tech-savvy, with a proactive approach to digital finance tools
