Job summary
The Accountant will play a critical role in safeguarding the financial integrity of the hotel. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring revenue accuracy, controlling costs, and maintaining compliance with statutory and internal standards. The ideal candidate brings hands-on hotel accounting experience

Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely monthly management accounts, financial statements, and variance reports
- reports.
- Monitor and reconcile daily hotel revenues across rooms, food & beverage, banquets,
- and other outlets.
- Maintain accurate general ledger, bank, and cash reconciliations.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely settlements and collections.
- Oversee payroll preparation and statutory remittances in collaboration with HR.
- Monitor inventory levels, conduct stock reconciliations, and maintain fixed assets
- registers.
- Ensure full compliance with VAT, PAYE, WHT, Pension, NHF, NSITF, and other regulatory
- requirements.
- Support internal and external audits and implement strong internal control procedures
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ accounting experience, preferably within a hotel or luxury industry
- hospitality environment.
- Strong understanding of hotel revenue cycles, POS systems, and cost controls.
