Job summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage our financial records, ensure accuracy in accounting processes, and support management in making informed financial decisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording day-to-day financial transactions, reconciling accounts and preparing reports
Job descriptions & requirements
- Record and maintain accurate financial transactions (income, expenses, invoices, payments).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Process payroll and ensure statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, taxes) are filed accurately and on time.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring timely follow-ups.
- Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow analysis.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies as required.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies.
- Support management with financial insights for decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years proven work experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices (IFRS knowledge is an added advantage).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with confidentiality.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
