JOB TITLE: Account Officer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers State

Salary: 200-250k

Experience Required: 3-5 years in a Structured Organization

About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate must have strong experience working within a structured organization, with a solid track record of handling financial reporting, compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Manage accounts payable and receivable.

Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.

Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and internal controls.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

Process payroll and maintain statutory filings (PAYE, pension, VAT, etc.).

Liaise with auditors and regulatory bodies where necessary.

Provide management with timely and accurate financial reports.

Assist in improving financial systems, processes, and controls.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience in a structured organization.

Professional certification (ICAN ) is an added advantage.

Strong understanding of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.

Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
