Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Conducting financial statement analysis and preparing accurate financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
• Providing tax planning and advisory services to clients, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Managing audits and conducting reviews of financial statements, identifying areas for improvement and proferring corrective actions.
• Offering strategic financial advice to clients, assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Collaborating with team members in a fully remote environment to deliver integrated financial solutions that meet client needs and objectives.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships through virtual communication channels, serving as a trusted advisor and resource for financial matters.
• Keeping abreast of changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations, and ensuring compliance in all client engagements.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and procedures, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness in a remote work setting.

Requirements:

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA/ACCA) with relevant professional certification.
• Proven experience in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting, preferably in a similar remote role within a boutique accounting firm or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues in a virtual environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to delivering high-quality work within tight deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a remote team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a virtual work environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software and virtual collaboration tools, such as video conferencing platforms and project management software.
