The ideal candidate holds a degree or HND in Accounting or Finance and possesses solid expertise in bookkeeping, financial reporting, Microsoft Excel, and specialized accounting software. Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Create, analyze, and present key financial statements like balance sheets, profit and loss (income) statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Record daily financial transactions and oversee the general ledger.
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and ledgers to resolve discrepancies and irregularities.
  • Prepare and submit accurate annual, quarterly, or monthly tax returns to relevant government authorities.
  • Ensure all financial procedures and reporting adhere to established legal standards and accounting frameworks.
  • Collaborate with management to create, review, and adjust business budgets.
  • Provide financial forecasting and risk analysis to help companies identify opportunities for cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and profit maximization.
  • Process and track money owed by the company (e.g., vendor payments) and money owed to the company (e.g., client invoices).
  • Oversee or process employee salaries, taxes, and deductions.
  • Organize financial data and cooperate with auditors to prepare audit reports.
  • Implement internal controls to minimize clerical errors, prevent fraud, and reduce costs associated with financial mismanagement.


Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or HND (Higher National Diploma) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certifications: Professional certification (such as ACA, ACCA, or ICAN) is considered an added advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
  • Soft Skills: A high level of accuracy, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.
