Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all monthly financial statements and management reports are completed by the 5th business day of every month, achieving a 98%+ accuracy rate.
- Manage and maintain 100% accurate financial records, including the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Specifically manage the high volume and velocity of transactions typical of FMCG inventory cycles and Tech subscription models.
- Ensure 100% continuous compliance with all local financial regulations, IFRS/local GAAP, and company policies.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to minimize financial risk, targeting zero material weaknesses in internal audits.
- Provide weekly reports that clearly identify and explain variances between actual and budgeted financial performance.
- Deliver financial insights and recommendations that contribute to a minimum of 5% annual efficiency gains or measurable cost savings across operations.
- Assist the finance team in high-quality preparation of the annual budget, ensuring all projections are realistic.
- Work to improve quarterly forecasting accuracy, aiming to keep the variance between forecast and actual performance under 5%.
- Stay rigorously up to date with changes in accounting standards (ICAN, ACCA, CIMA) and specific industry-related tax compliance.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a B.Sc. qualification
- Minimum of 4 years of focused experience in accounting and finance
- Strong command of core accounting principles and financial regulations
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to interpret and translate complex financial data into clear business insights.
