Account Officer

Responsibilities:

• Process transactions by effectively and efficiently handling cash and credit card payments.
• Record all payments into designated databases.
• Promptly confirming payments and issuing receipts to the client
• Manage HMO claims and reconciliation
• Monitoring cash flow and managing office expenditure
• Manage daily balancing and reconciling of office accounts
• Enforce credit policies to ensure that defaulters and patients with extended credits pay on time.
• Reconcile cash drawers and sales receipts
• Coordinate efforts with the accounting department to ensure that payments to suppliers are processed on time.
• Coordinate activities with the accounting department to ensure the creation of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Assist at the front desk in handling patient transactions
• Other related duties as and when the need arises

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required
• A Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cashier or in a similar role
• Proficiency in preparing and analyzing Financial Statements and Finance-related reports
• Strong Analytical Skills to evaluate and interpret financial data
• Excellent Customer Service skills and the ability to resolve client issues effectively
• Outstanding Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in managing financial records
• Experience with accounting software and proficiency in computer applications
• Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in a health or diagnostics-related organization, is an advantage
