Account Assistant
Job summary
A hotel Account Assistant provides crucial daily support to the finance department by managing financial records, processing transactions, and reconciling revenues and expenses. They ensure the seamless flow of funds across departments like the front desk, food and beverage, and housekeeping.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Revenue Auditing: Reconcile daily cash drops, credit card receipts, and transactions between the front desk and various departments.
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, match purchase orders, and prepare payments for supplier approval.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Manage billing, track guest or corporate payments, and review aged debtors to collect outstanding balances.
- General Ledger & Bookkeeping: Maintain financial files, track petty cash, and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Support the Financial Controller by preparing daily revenue reports, updating expense reports, and assisting with tax/financial audits.
Requirements:
- Minimum qualification of HND.
- 2 years of previous experience in a similar role.
