Role Overview
Trucrete Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimal utilization of construction equipment, vehicles, and machinery. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring equipment availability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining high operational standards across our road construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all maintenance and repair activities are carried out efficiently.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for construction equipment, trucks, and heavy machinery.
- Monitor equipment performance, utilization, breakdowns, and repair history to optimize fleet availability.
- Manage spare parts, tools, and workshop consumables, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effective procurement.
- Enforce workshop safety procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with HSE standards and company policies.
- Prepare maintenance reports, equipment status updates, breakdown analyses, and workshop performance reports for management. Requirements
- Monitor manpower, equipment, and material allocation against project schedules
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control activities
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in workshop management, fleet maintenance, or heavy equipment maintenance within the construction industry.
- B.Sc./HND in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Plant Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction equipment, heavy-duty vehicles, diesel engines, hydraulics, and preventive maintenance systems.
- Professional certifications and memberships in relevant engineering bodies will be an added advantage.
- Experience working on infrastructure, road and civil construction projects
