The Warehouse Officer is responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, organization, inventory control, and dispatch of products within the warehouse. The role ensures inventory accuracy, timely order fulfillment, and adherence to company procedures while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Receive, inspect, and record all incoming stock, ensuring quantities and product quality match delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock movements promptly.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify management when stock reaches reorder levels.
  • Investigate and report inventory variances or damaged products.


Warehouse Operations:

  • Organize and store products according to company standards to maximize warehouse efficiency.
  • Ensure products are properly labelled and stored to prevent damage or deterioration.
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness, orderliness, and safety at all times.
  • Ensure proper handling of fragile or sensitive cosmetic products.


Order Fulfilment:

  • Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders accurately and on time.
  • Verify orders before dispatch to eliminate picking and packing errors.
  • Coordinate with the Sales and Logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all dispatched products.


Documentation & Record Keeping:

  • Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, transfers, returns, and dispatches.
  • Prepare warehouse reports as required.
  • Ensure all inventory documentation is complete and properly filed.
  • Update inventory systems promptly after every stock movement.


Warehouse Security:

  • Safeguard company inventory against loss, theft, or damage.
  • Ensure only authorized personnel have access to warehouse stock.
  • Report any security concerns immediately.


Compliance:

  • Adhere to all warehouse policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and internal audit requirements.
  • Support periodic internal and external inventory audits.


Requirements:

  • Minimum qualification of a BSC
  • 2 years of previous experience in a similar role
