Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities

• Strategically manage and oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations in alignment with company policies and objectives.
• Supervise and coordinate receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance activities.
• Develop and implement efficient warehouse layouts and ensure optimal use of space.
• Establish, coordinate, and enforce operational policies and procedures for maximum efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all warehousing, handling, and shipping regulations and standards.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, hygiene, and security within the warehouse environment.
• Manage inventory control, including stock counts, reconciliation, and accurate data entry into warehouse management systems.
• Prepare and manage annual warehouse budgets, cost control, and resource allocation.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and logistics partners to coordinate delivery and distribution schedules.
• Plan and manage staff rotas, task assignments, and performance appraisals.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate warehouse staff to foster a productive work environment.
• Monitor and produce regular performance and inventory reports (e.g., in/out reports, stock status, dead stock reports, etc.).
• Evaluate feedback and continuously monitor the quality and efficiency of services provided.

Requirements:

• HND in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a warehouse manager or in a similar logistics leadership role.
• In-depth knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
• Strong understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations.
• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvement initiatives to boost efficiency and reduce waste.
• Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or related inventory software.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organisational abilities.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
