Walls/Floor Installer

Responsibilities:

• Install wallpapers, decorative wall panels, PVC panels, WPC panels, wall cladding, and other wall finishing materials.
• Install vinyl flooring, SPC flooring, laminate flooring, carpet tiles, and other decorative floor finishes.
• Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately according to project specifications.
• Prepare wall and floor surfaces before installation, ensuring they are clean, level, and ready for finishing.
• Carry out repairs, replacements, and maintenance of installed wall and floor finishes.
• Read and interpret design drawings, layout plans, and installation instructions.
• Ensure all installations are completed according to design specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with project supervisors, interior designers, and other trades on site.
• Handle installation tools, adhesives, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed work to ensure proper alignment, finishing, and durability.
• Correct defects and ensure installations meet client expectations.
• Minimize material wastage through accurate measurements and careful handling.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship on every project.
• Load, transport, and organize installation materials and tools.
• Ensure proper storage of materials to prevent damage.
• Report shortages, damaged materials, or equipment issues to the supervisor.
• Assist with inventory checks when required.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during installations.
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Report unsafe conditions or accidents immediately.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE, Trade Test Certificate, or a vocational qualification in Carpentry, Interior Finishing, Building Technology, or a related field.
• Proven years of practical experience installing wall and floor finishing materials.
• Experience installing wallpapers, vinyl flooring, SPC flooring, laminate flooring, wall panels, and decorative finishes.
• Ability to use measuring tools, cutting tools, and installation equipment effectively.
• Good understanding of interior finishing techniques and materials.
• Physically fit and able to lift materials and work on-site.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
