Job summary
Afri Med Connect is hiring healthcare professionals to work as Virtual Healthcare Administrators supporting US medical practices from our Ibadan office. We are currently recruiting healthcare-trained professionals to join our talent pool and support international healthcare providers virtually.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Handle patient communication via phone calls, email, and messaging platforms
- Schedule and manage patient appointments and provider calendars
- Send appointment reminders and follow-up messages to patients
- Assist with medical billing coordination and claims follow-up
- Maintain and update patient records in EMR/EHR systems
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide professional support
- Assist with insurance verification and documentation when required
- Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and patient documentation
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare privacy standards
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and clinic teams to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Degree in a healthcare-related field such as: nursing, midwifery, medicine, public health, health sciences, medical laboratory science, and healthcare administration
- Previous experience working in hospitals, clinics, private medical practices, telehealth services, and healthcare administrative roles
- Strong communication and patient interaction skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Speaks clearly and has a good command of the English language, free from accent and intonation
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) or licensed healthcare professional
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems
- Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, or patient coordination is an advantage
- Customer service experience
