Role Description This is a remote, contract Video Editor role. The Video Editor will assemble, edit, and refine video footage into cohesive, engaging stories aligned with project objectives and brand guidelines. Daily responsibilities include selecting and organizing clips, applying transitions and effects, syncing audio, and ensuring pacing and narrative clarity. The role also involves basic color correction or grading, incorporating motion graphics or titles as needed, and preparing multiple versions of content optimized for different platforms. The Video Editor will collaborate with producers, directors, and other creatives, respond to feedback, and deliver projects on schedule while maintaining consistent visual quality.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess skills in Video Production and Video Editing for end-to-end handling of footage and timelines.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Video Color Grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance the overall look of each project.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create titles, lower thirds, and visual elements that support storytelling.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve).
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling, rhythm, and pacing, with attention to audio quality and continuity.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience collaborating with creative teams and responding constructively to review notes and revisions.
  • Prior experience in film, media, or related fields is beneficial; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant work is strongly preferred.
